day #29: tpc and the national ms society

today i had a beautiful day with my friends at TPC sawgrass, which is the highest paying-out (did i say that right?) PGA tour in professional golf. the winner gets 1.7 million and i'm pretty sure that even if you don't win, you still get a bunch of cash. sooo, basically.... it too late to take up golf?

because my friend eddie is all connected and stuff, he had us set up all fancy-like in an air-conditioned suite courtesy of void magazine. there were free drinks, food and TVs so we could catch the tournament in style. here are a few pics from the day:

we are friends and we are laughing - bronson, me, and jo
todd and me, taking in the scene
new friends don and debbie from taco lu
the whole gang

but in addition to having the highest payout of any golf tournament, TPC sawgrass also has a charitable mission to give back to the community. today was MS (multiple-sclerosis) day at the tournament, so while i was sipping cold beers and eating spinach dip in the air conditioned suite, my friend cara was in the field, helping the national MS society spread awareness and education while also helping to raise funds to work towards eradicating MS. while reflecting on the amazing day that i had had and the charitable undertones of the tournament, i knew today's challenge needed to be about giving back. while i didn't get a chance to see cara in person, i decided to do the next best thing and donate online.

i love LOVE that i am doing this challenge, because it forces me to take action on these things TODAY. so many times i feel like i have the heart but i get lazy or forget and then there is no action and i get mad at myself yet still don't do anything. i mean, it's exhausting. so it made me feel good to follow through with it in the moment. lesson learned today: don't hesitate on gratitude-give back when you feel it comin on.

day 29 - complete!

xoxo
